Point 1 - Setting off. Agios Ioannis - Papa Nero.

Once in Agios Ioannis we go along the seaside road towards Papa Nero beach. We cross the beach and the path starts at its rocky end (photo).

Point 2 - Cement road junction

We move along, in parallel to the sea and then we start going uphill into some turns until we end up on a cement raoad.

Point 3 - Asphalt road junction

After 10m we reach the asphalt road where we turn left, leaving a kiosk to our right (photo)

Point 4 - Asphalt road junction

For at least 10 minutes we walk on the asphalt. At 200m we come to a junction with the main road from Mouresi to Damouchari and we turn left. At this point there is a fresh water spring.

Point 5 - Path junction

We go on downhill on the main road and at 200m on our left we come to a path at the point of of a electricity post (photo).

Point 6 - Cement road junction

This path, that is a bit steep, goes downhill among olive trees and ends up to a cement road (photo).

Point 7 - Asphalt / parking lot junction

We move uphill for a few meters and we come to the asphalt road. We turn left and we see the parking lot of Damouchari.

Point 8 - Along the cobbled seaside street

We take the cobbled path that goes down to the little harbour. We go straight on the cobbled street and then keeping to the left we cross Damouchari beach (photo). At the end of the beach there is a cobbled path to Tsagarada.

Point 9 - Cobbled path junction / wooden bridge

Once into the gully we go over the wooden bridge and then the well-preserved cobbled path literally climbs uphill. This part of the route is quite hard but the stunning view makes up for it (photo).

Point 10 - Path junction

After three bends the path climbs straight uphill (photo). On our left we follow the path with the sign to "Agio Athanasio" (photo).

Point 11 - Dirt road junction

After a few meters the path meets a dirt road. We take the road to the left (photo).

Point 12 - Cobbled path junction

At the end of the dirt road we find the path once more. We follow it downhill through the olive trees.

Point 13 - Uphill to the gully - Viewpoint

We come to a little gully, with white rocks (photo), where the path goes uphill on rocky terrain among low vegetation. At this point the view is absolutely stunning (photo). If we have some luck on our side we will keep eye contact with The Sporades Islands till the path starts to go downhill towards a little hut.

Point 14 - Hut - Dirt road junction

The path goes on to the right of the hut (photo) into thick vegetation. We ignore the junctions with small paths and we follow the main path (photo) that keeps on parallel to the sea and ends up to a dirt road.

Point 15 - Asphalt / parking lot junction

We follow the dirt road that goes gently uphill, ignoring another dirt road that comes to our left (photo). At the end of the dirt road we reach a small parking lot and the asphalt road that leads to Tsagarada.

Point 16 - The end - Fakistra beach

From the parking lot starts a distinct path that takes you to Fakistra beach.
